Teacher switched 3/4 through the course, calculates grades differently - worth it to inform admissions?
So one of my teachers for an AP course switched 3/4 through the semester as the original teacher had a medical emergency (I'm Canadian, so AP courses are one semester just like normal classes), and the new teacher calculates our grades differently. For example, he weighs some assignments heavier than others and has a totally different way of converting our levelled rubric system to an exact percentage grade.
My grade from midterm (calculated by the old teacher) to final (new teacher) is expected to drop by 1-2% (95% down to 94/93 ish). My midterm was sent to all my colleges by my guidance counsellor as I had applied ED (so, colleges would see this drop). Would it be worth it to let my RD colleges know about this situation? Or would it come off as bitchy/not worth it?
Thanks!!
