[WIP] Please help!

Making this for my first grand baby, arriving in a couple of weeks. This blanket has (25) 6-inch blocks for stitching. You’re supposed to skip every other block. When I moved on from the dolphin, I wasn’t even thinking, and stitched the star fish in the very next block. That was when I should have asked for advice.

Instead, I said oh well and did the turtle next, thinking I’d have to cut down the project into something else, and only stitch the blocks I love, leaving out the boats. And if necessary, maybe the bottom 3 pictures, also. Total blanket size is 38” x 38”.

How would you salvage this? I’m not a seamstress at all, but could maybe hire someone if there’s an idea including anything needing that.

Thanks for your advice. I’ve been stitching 30 years, and never knew another stitcher. I’ve learned so much here.
