RSA questions

I’m currently working out of town, staying in a hotel for the week. My first day on the route (which I’m only covering for 5 days was today) and the DSL over here is pushing me to get rid of 4.2k of inventory that’s in the lanes. I guess the past 3-4 days the route has sat. Currently there’s about 6-7 missed deliveries sitting in the lanes dating back 2-3 weeks prior. New RSA’s have been running the route and ordering regardless of what’s in the lanes and now the stores are full. The DSL drove a truck today to where I was and dropped off about 6 stacks of product and told me to add them to my day. I’m trying to explain to him that I’m not very good at inventory since I’ve never had a route, nor as an RSA ever had to deal with it to this extent. What would you guys do? Leave it like the other RSA’s have and what on the RSR to return, or try pushing it out all week?
