Boot to Runner/Shoe

Hi all, I had a visit this morning with orthopaedics and after 5 months I have been given the go ahead to let go of crutches and use runners/shoes instead of the boot.

Very nervous of this naturally as its been a long time and I haven't even tried walking without the boot at all. Haven't even stood up without wearing one.

Just wondering if anyone can give me advice on how to go through this process and what helped? Many thanks in advance. My injury was bad and I just feel scared.
