Lofted Studio $2,250/Mo Back Bay
I moved in Sept 2024 and have a few months left of my lease until May 2025 in Back Bay. However, I need to relocate for work. Move in date flexible.
Management has been flexible for the lease to end in May or August of 2026 (aligns to the typical cycle here).
Apartment description
- $2,250 a month, security, first, and last month required
- I need to check broker fee, but I paid one so I’m assuming yes
- In Back Bay, a couple steps from Clarendon St and Marlborough St intersection (don’t want to provide the exact address on the post)
- 2 blocks from Newbury and Boylston st
- 500 sq feet
- 4th floor walk up
- Lots of natural light given the 2 skylights
- Heating and AC in unit
- No dishwasher
- Studio-esque, but the bed is lofted
- All electric (my eversource bills have been between $60-80, but this is the fall/winter and a very cold winter).
- Trash: You leave your trash outside your door on select days and management has people pick it up twice a week.
- Laundry: Laundry is in the building next door. The people who own this building also own others nearby so you have access to the laundry machines right next door. Coin operated.
- Parking: street parking, need city permit. I don’t have a car so I don’t know the parking scene.
- Groceries: there are 2 Trader Joe’s on Boylston. The larger, newer one (500 Boylston) is a 5 min walk away. Star market attached to the Prudential is a 10 min walk. Eataly as another option.
- Local Fitness Options within 15 min walk (if this is important to you like it is for me!): BSC Back Bay, Lynx fitness club, Planet fitness on Newbury, Boston Pilates (near Arlington stop), CorePower Back Bay, Equinox Dartmouth, BTone Back Bay, Invictus CrossFit, Barry’s (near Copley Fairmont). The bridge to the Esplanade is one block for you to get on quickly for a run/walk.
- T Options: Prudential Center (Orange Line) is a 12 min walk, Copley station (Green Line) is a 7 minute walk
- Safety: Marlborough St is extremely safe. The street is admittedly dimly lit at night, but there are very nice apartments on that street, so it’s usually monitored well.
- Fun: Ample food, drink, and shopping options in Back Bay, but you’re also walkable distance to Fenway, South End Tremont St, and Chinatown/Downtown for more.
- Neighbors/Other Building Residents: Neighbors are lovely. Early 30s primarily and quiet. There are 8 units in the building across 4 floors.
I’m sad to leave this apartment and this price knowing that this area charges way more and have really enjoyed my time living here being so close to everything. The previous resident said the same. Here are pictures from my time living there now and pictures from when the previous resident lived there. I covered most info so lmk if you have questions! DM if actually interested.
NOTE: MY BAD, there is a small kitchen with an electric stove, fridge, and sink! I took these pics before I left for a trip and will be back soon and happy to share what the kitchen area for those curious.
