First time Skyrim (don't judge me :D)

Hi, I am 27 y.o and gamer. I've been playing competitive games for many years (WOW, CS, RL,...) I've also played a lot of single player games (KDC, DS and many others). A few months ago I bought Skyrim Special Edition on Steam and I'd like to play it in the next few weeks. Do you have any recommendations? I definitely want to start playing it and play it without mods. But I'd like some recommendations for beginners from more experienced players.

Thank you for every recommendation and I've heard from friends that by not playing Skyrim yet I've missed out on a nice experience.
