Are there any mods that make the game easier to run?

These are my system specs: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-7700HQ CPU @ 2.80GHz 2.81 GHz 16.0 GB (15.9 GB usable)

It only really runs smoothly on the lowest settings for me.

Are there any mods that would improve the performance?
